We are looking for a Payroll & Employee Services Specialist to join our team in Mechelen.

Scope of the job

As a payroll & employee services specialist, you play a key role in providing excellent HR support to our GLPG employees. With your positive and customer minded approach, you give our employees advice and guide them through our self-service portal and ticketing system. During your daily operational tasks, you keep an eye on the quality and efficiency of the HR services to ensure that we provide the best customer experience possible. Next to that, you assist in preparing the payroll. You will report to the Employee Services Lead.

Your Role

  • As a true problem solver, you act upon issues regarding personal files and follow up in close collaboration with the payroll team and other CoE’s
  • You follow up on the day-to-day personnel administration in an accurately and timely way, within clear guidelines and a generic knowledge of the Social Law
  • You offer a full employee experience (face to face, via digital channels, etc.)
  • You administer and manage the personnel database by mastering data and performing quality checks (4 eyes principle)
  • You prepare standard and ad hoc qualitative reporting to stakeholders related to personnel files
  • You adopt a customer-oriented attitude by guiding staff and offering them the most appropriate solution and excellent service at time by using our ticketing system
  • You act as an example within your job and you support the team (showing best practices on how to approach tasks and offer help where necessary)

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • You are able to think and perform on a min Bachelor level, preferably in HR or Personnel Administration
  • A first experience in Payroll and HR administration is a benefit
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch or French and English, both written and spoken
  • You have a strong affinity with HR tools/systems
  • Your reliability, flexibility, co-operation skills and respect for others make sure you can build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You are able to stay tuned in a continuously changing environment
  • Furthermore, you are able to process and analyze information timely and efficiently
