We are looking for a Customer Insights & Analytics Manager

Scope of the job

You are part of the Customer Insights & Engagement (CI&E) team and are responsible for the creation, preparation and dissemination of business-relevant insights to the individual areas of the organisation. Your evaluations, analyses and presentations increase market understanding and contribute significantly to the optimisation of decision-making processes, the alignment of strategies and operational effectiveness. This includes close cooperation with business partners, the various departments at Galapagos UK and as well as colleagues in Global CI&E (Sales Effectiveness Lead/CRM, Business Analytics Lead and Commercial Training Lead).

Job requirements

• Analysis of secondary market data and internal patient models; continuous reporting on market sizes and developments; Presentation and discussion of market data and market research results in the context of brand team meetings, business reviews and other internal knowledge share.

• Weekly/monthly performance monitoring, for both national and regional, to proactively identify opportunities for growth as well as forthcoming market challenges. In addition, track progress for sales incentive plans and calculate sales  force pay-outs.

• Development of product & indication-specific forecasts that includes derivation of underlying assumptions with close involvement of the cross-functional team, to ensure robust realistic forecasts for in-market demand as well as supply chain demand

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide relevant dashboards for consumption by key UK/Ireland stakeholders

• Central contact for business analyses and insights within the organisation and monitoring / evaluation of current market developments on a continuous basis. Facilitate data collation for internal sales / homecare reports to maximise value to the business

• Design, coordination and implementation of qualitative and quantitative primary market research studies as well as analysis of market research results to identify relevant trends, customer needs and influencing factors. Active involvement in HQ research projects.


Who are you?

• Degree in a business, life science, pharmaceutical or medical field.

• At least 5 years of experience in comparable positions in the pharmaceutical environment and sound knowledge in the field of market research and the analysis, interpretation and preparation of complex market information and data. Additional experience in consulting is an advantage

• A high affinity for numbers, the ability to abstract and interpret data and translate it into relevant insights, ideally rounded off by knowledge of creating and evaluating market research studies, analysing databases and health care in general

• Proven ability to effectively communicate technical and qualitative information to executives in all functional areas through interpersonal, verbal, and written channels

• In addition to excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with regard to complex issues, good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Power Point)

• Team player that effectively interacts with cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels to deliver successful cross-functional initiatives

• A high degree of initiative & independence, analytical and strategic thinking and a strong solution-oriented way of working

° As this position will be working for the UK region, you need to be located in the UK, preferably near London. 

° Flexibility to come 2d/ week to the office in London as we work in a hybrid model.
